DWD weather warning: Germany is facing drastic onset of winter. Up to 30 centimetres of fresh snow have been announced - in some parts of Germany there have already been serious accidents. The German Weather Service (DWD) warns of frozen wetness and fresh snow. The risk of storms also remains high, especially in northern Germany and on the coast. The DWD also forecasts changing weather with rain showers and snow in the mountains. It is even expected to snow twice this week – even in the low mountain ranges.
