Contrairement aux glacières électriques énergivores qui doivent être alimentées en électricité en permanence, le réfrigérateur/congélateur Alpicool à compresseur ne fonctionne que lorsqu’il détecte une variation de température. Il utilise donc une fraction de la consommation électrique d’une glacière électrique conventionnelle et maintient la température sélectionnée en ne fonctionnant que quelques minutes par heure. Le réfrigérateur Alpicool C40 peut être utilisé aussi bien comme réfrigérateur ou congélateur, atteignant jusqu'à -20°C. Côté autonomie, connecté à la station d’alimentation ECOFLOW 720WH, le réfrigérateur/congélateur Alpicool peut fonctionner jusqu’à 48 h*. Utilisation en voiture et à la maison : comprend les deux types de câbles d'alimentation (110 V ou 12 V pour connexion à prise domestique, batterie auxiliaire ou votre véhicule lors de vos déplacements).
